SnOw FLaKeS thAt FaLL oN My NoSe & EyElasHeS

I was in my room doing some computer work, when Cyrie came in all excited and screaming "Mommy there is SNOW outside!!!" She took my hand and led me to the back patio to see this.......................

They were the biggest snowflakes I have ever seen! She wanted to catch them with her tongue so we got our boots on and went out to do just that. It's a good thing too because it only lasted for about 10 minutes and then it stopped and the sun came out and the snow melted.

I was getting ready the other morning when suddenly I heard.............

S I L E N C E

which isn't a good thing when Cyrie is in the house. I went out to check on her and couldn't find her anywhere. I started to panic a little because I couldn't find her. I was calling her name and running room to room. NO CYRIE! I checked outside in the garage and came back inside to check one more time when I saw this....................

She had covered herself with the throw pillows on the sofa, and fallen asleep. It's a good thing I saw her little piggys poking out before the police got involved!

No Reason

January has come and gone and so here is an update...........

Carson has been playing basketball and has finished the season with only one loss. Although he is a hustler, he forgets sometimes that it's basketball not football. Plus he thinks that they don't keep track of who fouls so he can never foul out. I had to remind him that even though the first is true (they don't keep track of who fouls) his mother does, and I have no problem causing a scene and yanking his skinny butt out! It is important to me that my kids remember who they are and what they stand for. This is a lesson they may have to learn the hard way. Luckily they haven't tested me yet.

Cambria has started dance and is loving it although it has been a bit challenging. After watching her a few times I came to the conclusion that she would do much better if she didn't have to waste time figuring out which foot is right and which foot is left. The same goes for her right and left arm. My solution....... She is now wearing a hair band on her right wrist and she has a piece of tape on her right shoe. Walla problem solved!!!!

Cambria also had a great accomplishment in the month of January. She won an award from the Utah State Board of Education. It's for Outstanding Performance and scoring in the top 10% in the NATION in Reading on the Iowa Test!

I haven't reported any Cambriaisms for a while so here are a few.

#1 Cambria and cousin Brianna were talking back and forth in the back seat as I was driving, when they kept saying things at the same time. They did the usual...... "jinks you owe me a coke,1..2...3..." when Cambria announced, "That's crazy we keep doing that it's like we have cousin technology!"- Interpretation: Cousin Telepathy!

#2 I was explaining to Cambria what Claustrophobic was one day which is a VERY long process. I heard her later talking to her friends and telling them that she gets caterphobic.

I have to include something Carson said too. It isn't often that Carson says something that doesn't make sense but....He was talking about cars and he said "Watch it exhilarate!" Interpretation - accelerate.

Cyrie is crazy as ever, although she is getting better about getting into stuff and making a mess. She is into band-aids and loves to put them on everything. She will get a stool and get them out of the cupboard and of course, put them on herself. She loves to dress herself and put her clothes on by herself but still refuses to go potty in the toilet. Doesn't make sense to me! Here is a picture of when she dressed herself. Notice that she has Cambria's shoes on and "Micky Mouse Gloves" (All gloves are Micky Mouse's)

New Year - New Me........ Maybe

I stopped making "NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS" a long time ago because I found that I had the same ones year after year because I never did accomplish them!

I then decided that I would choose a few goals that I would work toward throughout the year. It worked a little better but still not great.

This year after some personal evaluation I came to the conclusion that I don't like to be told what to do... Not even by MYSELF. However, I did type up some goals that I will post on my mirror and hopefully by looking at them several times a day, I will finally accomplish a few goals. If not I won't beat myself up because I'm really not holding myself to it! As long as I can continue to progress forward personally, spiritually, emotionally, financially, and intellectually I'm ok with myself.

It's Christmas and you WILL like it !!!!

Anyone that knows me can tell you that this is my favorite time of year. However, it usually comes with self inflicted ChAoS between Christmas cards, neighbor gifts, making candy and treats, parties, school activities, church activities, and anything else that I can be of service with. Rob hates it because I am dragging him a million different ways and he just wants to enjoy himself and relax. My answer to this ... It's Christmas and you WILL like it. Just as the past years I agreed to overextend myself and so I had ANXIETY up until .........
* the scrapbook pages were done

* Christmas Cards were sent

* the school play got cancelled because it was on the one "snow" day they have had here in years

* the company parties got cancelled because of lack of funds

* the family party didn't ever get planned

* I didn't make one piece of candy or goodies because it doesn't comply with my approved intake on my never ending diet.

We didn't go ANYWHERE and it was actually kind of nice. Here are a few things that we did do.....

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA - They served Pancakes with Ice Cream on Top. Lets load them up on sugar first thing in the morning!! Oh Well It's Christmas and you WILL like it.

Cambria was explaining to Santa that she hadn't written her letter yet and she hoped he could still bring her a Hot Pink Bike.

Thank goodness for Santa's Elves that are ALWAYS watching!!!!!

Throwing out our REINDEER FOOD Christmas Eve so Santa will stay Longer!! Yes I am in my PJ's- Can't believe I am posting that but it's the only picture I have of this and we are all friends!!!!

Carson was in Florida with his dad so it was just the GiRLs. We really missed him this is the first Christmas that he wasn't with us. But I guess I would have chose the beach and Grandma Dena's food at Christmas too.

Christmas Eve P.J.'s the only gift we are allowed to open before Christmas.

Cyrie had so much fun opening gifts this year and it was fun to watch.

CHRISTMAS DAY - SPENT WITH FAMILY AND OUR TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS BREAKFAST.
The kids played and rode their bikes and roller blades inside the garage since it was SNOWING - That was so much fun I don't ever remember a white Christmas here.

We watched movies and just relaxed. We made the guys watch Mama Mia it was the fasted movie I have ever watched because they fast forwarded through the singing (which if you've seen the movie most of it is singing!) I think it was a record 20 minutes!!

It wouldn't be Christmas without the movie CHRISTMAS VACATION! Here we are doing our best Christmas Vacation impersonation! (Notice our moose mugs!!!!!) Gotta Love Cousin Eddie !!!!!

I HOPE YOU ALL HAD A VERY RELAXING MERRY CHIRSTMAS TOO!!!
